Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has broken his silence over his absence from a scheduled concert in Paris, attributing it to a disagreement between his tour agent and the event promoter.
In a statement shared via his Instagram Stories, the singer explained that he was ready to perform but missed his flight after his tour agent, Olamide Baron, delayed departure while trying to resolve a payment dispute with another promoter.
According to Kizz Daniel, Baron had sold the Paris show to a second promoter, who allegedly failed to complete payment as agreed.
“First, this wasn’t my fault. Whatever clips you’re seeing are from a fallout between the tour agent and the show promoter,” he clarified. “I was paid in full to perform in Paris, but my agent said the other promoter breached their agreement.”
The Buga crooner said he had been prepared to travel for a 12:25 p.m. flight but was held back due to the ongoing financial negotiations. By the time the issue was resolved, the next available flight was at 5:25 p.m., causing him to arrive late in Paris.
“We came into Paris late because of the unresolved issue between two promoters. I was paid and ready to perform. I never demanded a particular car or special treatment, that’s false,” he added.
Kizz Daniel noted that he still went to the venue in hopes of performing but found that the organisers had already closed for the night due to curfew restrictions.
He went on to highlight his commitment to fans, citing previous performances in Italy and Sweden where he performed in the early hours of the morning despite similar scheduling setbacks.
“Sometimes promoters delay performances until the hall is full. I performed at 4 a.m. in Parma and 1:30 a.m. in Sweden,” he recalled. “I’m currently in Amsterdam and ready for the next show by God’s grace.”
The singer assured fans that his upcoming shows in Amsterdam and Cologne would go on as planned, reiterating his dedication to delivering great performances despite logistical challenges.
