Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga‑Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has opened up about her decision to keep her husband away from social media.
Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the skit maker explained that her Instagram page mainly serves as a platform for her professional activities.
According to Kiekie, her social media presence is dedicated to promoting her comedy skits, projects, and brand collaborations. Because her husband is not directly involved in those areas, she prefers to keep that aspect of her personal life private.
“I’m not hiding my husband, I just don’t feel the need to put him on Instagram,” she said during the interview.
The content creator stressed that her decision should not be interpreted as secrecy, noting that it is simply a matter of separating her personal life from her professional brand.
“My Instagram is my business page and my husband is not part of my business,” she added.
Kiekie, who is also a mother of one, has built a strong online following through her comedic skits and entertainment content, making her social media platforms an important part of her brand identity.
Her comments highlight the growing conversation among public figures about balancing privacy and visibility in the age of social media.
