The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife on Tuesday night illuminated the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in national colours to mark 62 years of independence and launch the Jamhuri Thematic Week.
Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano and Nairobi City County Governor Johnson Sakaja presided over the ceremony at 8 pm, featuring the lighting of the Christmas tree. The event kicks off a week of celebrations showcasing Kenya’s cultural heritage, youth creativity and tourism offerings.
