Amid rising tensions in the Gulf region, United State President, Donald Trump, has warned Iran against launching further retaliatory attacks following recent joint strikes involving the United States and Israel.
In a statement shared on social media on Sunday, Trump said any escalation would be met with a forceful response, as global leaders monitor the rapidly developing situation.
The military strikes, carried out earlier in the week, have heightened fears of a broader confrontation in the region.
Iranian authorities have announced plans for expanded operations, while Western officials continue to urge restraint to prevent further destabilisation.
According to Iranian state media, the death of Ali Khamenei was confirmed on Sunday, further escalating tensions. In response to the strikes, Iran has reported actions affecting several regional states, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Security forces in the U.S. and Israel remain on heightened alert as diplomatic efforts continue to contain the crisis.
