Kenya’s top shooter Master Ibrahim Ndung’u has officially been appointed as a member of the Firearm and Licensing Board for a three-year term.
Ndung’u of the Bamburi Rifle Club was appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen. His appointment follows his qualification as an A-Class competitor, becoming the first Kenyan to achieve such a high International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) classification.
Ndung’u attained the milestone at the 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot Championship held in Matlosana, South Africa. He is now preparing to represent Kenya at the Extreme Euro Open Championship in May and the European Championship in June this year.
