Kenya’s top fencer, Olympian Alexandra Ndolo, has taken the Kenya Fencing Federation to court, accusing it of mismanagement and discrimination.
Ndolo filed a constitutional petition at the Milimani Law Courts seeking audited accounts from 2021 to 2025, the federation’s constitution, election records, and reimbursement of her expenses.
Ndolo says she has often funded her own travel, coaching, and equipment despite the federation receiving grants. She cites paying nearly Sh270,000 for airfare to last year’s African Championships, money she claims was never refunded.
Earlier this year, she also reported the matter to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, alleging financial irregularities and lack of equipment.
In May, the federation suspended her for alleged misconduct after she questioned its operations, further escalating tensions. The High Court has ordered the federation to respond within 14 days, with the case due for mention on November 25th.
