Former Akwa United boss, Kennedy Boboye, is on the verge of being appointed as the new technical adviser of Bayelsa United, following the resignation of Monday Odigie.
According to reports, the Prosperity Boys’ management has reached an agreement with the 51-year-old tactician to take charge of the team.
Odigie stepped down last week after a string of poor results in Bayelsa United’s last five matches.
Boboye, who last managed Akwa United in the 2024–25 NPFL season, brings a wealth of experience, having previously led Plateau United and Akwa United to league titles in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
He has also handled Heartland, Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors, and Remo Stars in his managerial career.
