American rapper and songwriter Kendrick Lamar dominated the rap categories at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, winning all four nominations.
His latest album, GNX, earned Best Rap Album, while his collaboration “TV Off” with Lefty Gunplay took home Best Rap Song. Lamar also won Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Luther” featuring SZA and Best Rap Performance for “Chains & Whips” alongside Clipse.
The track “Luther” additionally contributed to the Record of the Year accolade, boosting Lamar’s total Grammy count to 27, surpassing Jay-Z as the most-awarded rapper in history.
Other notable winners at the ceremony included Olivia Dean, who was named Best New Artist, and Bad Bunny, who made history as the first artist to win Album of the Year for a Spanish-language project with Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
Despite Lamar’s impressive haul, Beyoncé remains the most decorated artist in Grammy history, holding a record 35 wins.
