Kehinde Adegbodu, twin brother of late gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, has raised concerns after armed robbers invaded their family residence, leaving relatives shaken.
In a video shared via their official Facebook page, Kehinde said he was in Osun State when the incident occurred. He explained that the attackers stormed the house while his late brother’s wife and children were present.
According to him, the intruders reportedly spent more than 45 minutes searching the property, repeatedly asking for his whereabouts, Taiwo’s room, and other valuables.
Kehinde revealed that the assailants took cash, clothing, and other belongings during the operation. He added that one of the robbers allegedly contacted an accomplice by phone to report that he was not at home.
The grieving brother suggested that the attack may have been motivated by speculation that funds raised for Taiwo’s burial by gospel musician Yinka Ayefele were still in the house.
He clarified, however, that the money had already been used for a building project linked to his late brother’s burial arrangements.
Expressing concern for his family’s safety, Kehinde said the incident has left the children traumatised and afraid to remain in the house.
He appealed to the public and potential attackers to understand that there are no funds stored at the residence, stressing that he does not live a lavish lifestyle.
Since the incident, he noted, the family has been struggling with fear and insecurity, particularly the children who now find it difficult to sleep at home.
