All schools in Kebbi State are set to resume for the second term of the 2025/2026 session on January 5, as the government seeks to maintain a stable and uninterrupted academic calendar.
The directive was issued on Friday through statements jointly signed by Isah Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Aliyu Bagarawa, Deputy Director (Academics) at the Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education.
Authorities said the reopening is part of the state government’s efforts to ensure that both urban and rural schools operate without disruption. School administrators, principals, head teachers, teachers, parents, and students have been urged to comply fully with the directive.
“All school administrators, principals, head teachers, teachers, parents, and students are hereby advised to take note of this directive and ensure full compliance”, the statement read.
School heads have been instructed to prepare facilities, ensure staff availability, and make necessary arrangements for a smooth resumption of academic activities. Parents and guardians are also being called upon to ensure that their children return to school promptly.
The government further announced that monitoring teams would be deployed across the state to check compliance and address any challenges during the reopening process.
