The Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved a minor reshuffle in his cabinet as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and enhance administrative efficiency across the state.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Tafida, and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the governor redeployed two members of the State Executive Council.
According to the statement, Samaila Augie has been moved to the Ministry of Health, while Haliru Wasagu now heads the Ministry of Internal Security.
Tafida explained that the redeployment aligns with the governor’s vision of repositioning the civil service for effective and efficient service delivery to the people of Kebbi State.
“I am directed to convey the approval of the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, for the redeployment of the aforementioned Honourable Commissioners.
“This directive is for strict compliance and takes immediate effect,” the statement read.
The SSG also conveyed the governor’s appreciation to members of the State Executive Council for their cooperation and commitment to the success of the administration.
He reaffirmed the governor’s dedication to promoting peace, unity, and improved service delivery across the state.
