The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised fresh alarm over the deteriorating health of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who remains in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja.
In a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, the movement urged the Nigerian authorities to prioritize Kanu’s safety and ensure he receives urgent and comprehensive medical attention.
IPOB stressed that neglecting his health poses grave risks and called for his immediate release.
Reaffirming its commitment to lawful and peaceful agitation, IPOB appealed to international bodies, human rights organizations, and the global community to intervene swiftly in securing proper medical care for Kanu.
The group emphasized that the government must act responsibly and without delay to safeguard his life and wellbeing.
