Harry Kane struck twice and Nicolas Jackson netted his first Bayern Munich goal as the German champions swept aside Pafos 5-1 in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
Kane, who last week became the fastest player to reach 100 goals in a top-five European league, opened the scoring after 14 minutes before Raphael Guerreiro added a second. Jackson, on loan from Chelsea, made it three on 31 minutes with his maiden goal for the club.
Kane then showed his versatility, bursting down the left and firing home his 17th goal of the season across all competitions.
Pafos salvaged a moment of pride when Mislav Orsic scored the Cypriot club’s first-ever Champions League goal with a long-range strike before the break. But Bayern, who struck the woodwork three times, completed the rout when Michael Olise netted late on after being denied moments earlier.
The victory extends Bayern’s perfect start to the season to nine wins from nine — their best opening in 13 years.
