Former United States Vice President Kamala Harris has announced that she will be in conversation with celebrated Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at the London Literature Festival on Thursday.
The event, which is already sold out, forms part of Harris’ ongoing ‘107 Days’ international book tour. The tour began shortly after the release of her memoir on September 23, 2025, and features a series of public appearances and moderated discussions.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Harris shared her excitement ahead of the engagement, writing:
“I look forward to being in conversation with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on Thursday as part of the London Literature Festival.”
The London stop marks one of the most anticipated sessions of the tour, drawing global attention due to both women’s influence in politics and literature.
In a statement published on her official book website, Harris described writing 107 Days as a reflective process:
“It felt like living the campaign in reverse, rewinding each moment and experiencing it all over again.”
The memoir offers a personal and candid account of her shortest presidential campaign in U.S. history, detailing the emotional and strategic challenges she faced.
Adichie, known for her award-winning novels such as Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, is expected to lead a thought-provoking dialogue exploring Harris’ experiences, leadership, and the broader lessons from her political journey.
The London Literature Festival continues to attract world-renowned figures, positioning itself as a global platform for literary exchange, political reflection, and cultural dialogue.
