The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its State Secretary, Sa’idu Adamu, over alleged gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
The suspension followed a resolution adopted by the State Working Committee (SWC) and ratified by the State Executive Committee (SEC) during a meeting held on Monday at the party’s secretariat in Kaduna.
According to a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Maria Dogo, the decision was made in line with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended).
Dogo explained that the suspension, which takes immediate effect, will last for one month pending the outcome of a formal investigation into the allegations against Adamu.
During the suspension period, the embattled secretary is barred from participating in any party activities at the ward, local government, state, or national levels.
“The PDP wishes to assure its members and the general public that the party remains resolutely committed to upholding internal discipline, fairness, and justice under the leadership of the State Chairman, Hon. Edward Masha,” the statement read.
It further noted that the ongoing actions of the State Working Committee are part of broader efforts to strengthen the party’s structures and ensure accountability across all levels of leadership.
The move underscores the Kaduna PDP’s determination to enforce party discipline ahead of upcoming political activities, as internal cohesion becomes increasingly vital to the opposition’s strategy in the state.
