El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has emphasized the importance of moving forward following his team’s 3-0 loss to Nasarawa United on Sunday in Lafia.
Despite a promising start, the Maiduguri-based side conceded twice in the first half and failed to capitalize on opportunities in front of goal. Dogo acknowledged the strength of their opponents while insisting that the team will continue to work hard in upcoming fixtures.
“It’s a tough game for us today. I congratulate Nasarawa United on the win today, and I must say they deserved to win because they were the better side,” Dogo said after the match.
“They punished three errors committed by one of our best players, but that’s football. The league is still a marathon. We will make adjustments where we faltered. The road trips are quite exhausting for us, but we will keep pushing.”
Currently 12th on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 18 points from 14 games, El-Kanemi Warriors are preparing to travel to Ibadan for their next fixture against Shooting Stars.
