A 38-year-old man accused of killing two women in Mamelodi has abandoned his bid for bail.
Tebogo Mnisi made his first appearance at the Mamelodi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Mnisi is accused of killing two cousins in Mamelodi.
Neighbours found 22-year-old Tshiamo and 21-year-old Baleseng Moramaga dead from gunshot wounds after the pair went out the previous night.
They were killed execution style over the weekend.
Charges
Mnisi faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder, one attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of ammunition.
He has opted to be represented by legal aid.
Custody
His lawyer said Mnisi has no previous convictions, no pending charges, and no protection order against him.
Mnisi has been remanded in custody. The matter has been postponed to 19 January 2026.
