Nigerian gospel artist Judikay has opened up about the emotional pain of losing her sixth pregnancy, sharing her experience in a heartfelt video on Instagram.
The singer disclosed that the loss occurred in February 2025 when she was more than three months pregnant. She explained that the ordeal began with mild cramps, which she initially considered normal.
However, the situation quickly became concerning after she noticed light bleeding. Medical checks later confirmed that she had suffered a missed miscarriage.
Judikay described the experience as deeply traumatic, noting that it left her emotionally shaken. She spoke about the often-unspoken pain that accompanies pregnancy loss, particularly for women who endure it multiple times.
Recounting the moment she realised what was happening, she said the bleeding intensified, confirming her fears. The loss, she added, was especially painful given that the pregnancy had progressed beyond the early stages.
She also shared details of undergoing a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure following the miscarriage, and the emotional toll that followed. According to her, the nights were the hardest, as she struggled with grief and unanswered questions.
“In the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express,” she said, describing moments of anguish and spiritual searching.
Judikay is married to Anselem Opara. The couple welcomed their first child in March 2022.
Her story has drawn attention to the realities of pregnancy loss, with many women facing similar experiences in silence while coping with both physical and emotional challenges.
