Former Chelsea captain John Terry has confessed he is “a little bit worried” that Arsenal could break the Blues’ long-standing Premier League clean-sheet record.
Arsenal had conceded only three league goals all season before their 2–2 draw against Sunderland on Saturday, putting them on course to challenge Chelsea’s benchmark of 15 clean sheets set during the 2004/05 campaign under Jose Mourinho.
In a TikTok video, Terry admitted he has been keeping a close eye on the Gunners’ fixtures.
“I have to say I’m actually a little bit worried now,” he said. “I’m looking at their fixtures on a weekly basis, seeing where they’re going to potentially concede goals, but I have to say, I have to give them credit, they look very good at the moment.
“I still think it’s going to be too much to beat our record, but being honest, I’m a little nervous.”
Arsenal’s defensive discipline has been one of their strongest assets this season, raising fresh questions about whether Chelsea’s two-decade-old record could finally be under threat.
