Popular social media personality Amadou Elizabeth, widely known as Jarvis, has spoken publicly about her mother’s declining health and the emotional toll of navigating personal struggles under online scrutiny.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Jarvis disclosed that her mother is seriously ill, expressing concern that social media users could weaponize the situation against her.
According to the influencer, her fear is not only rooted in her mother’s condition but in how quickly online narratives can turn hostile.
She explained that she has deliberately kept her mother’s illness private, worried that strangers could record or circulate videos of her mother and use them to attack her reputation on social media.
Jarvis also addressed a recurring assumption often directed at public figures, that financial resources can solve every problem. She said her mother’s illness has reached a stage where money is no longer the solution.
The influencer stressed that the situation is now dependent on faith and divine intervention, rather than wealth or public status.
Speaking emotionally, Jarvis reflected on her mother’s sacrifices, revealing that she was raised solely by her mother without support from her father, who is Senegalese.
She described her mother as resilient and protective, crediting her with holding the family together despite difficult circumstances.
Jarvis also opened up about her strained relationship with her father, stating that communication with him stopped during her childhood. She revealed that she has been making efforts to reconnect, including traveling to Senegal, but has yet to succeed.
The revelation comes amid an already challenging period for the influencer. Jarvis recently confirmed the end of her relationship with fellow content creator and livestreamer Hamzat Habeeb, popularly known as Peller. The breakup followed a car crash incident involving Peller during a livestream, which drew widespread attention online.
Despite public interest in her personal life, Jarvis’ latest message highlights the emotional realities behind online fame and the complexities influencers face away from the screen.
