The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the sale of forms for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin nationwide on Monday, January 26, 2026.
This announcement follows a strategic meeting involving JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, and key stakeholders in the education sector. In the statement, the Board assured prospective candidates that the registration process will be seamless, supported by enhanced service delivery mechanisms.
Candidates are reminded to register exclusively at JAMB-approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, professional registration centres, and JAMB offices throughout the country.
Prof. Oloyede also addressed the importance of accurate biodata, urging candidates to rectify any discrepancies in their names or dates of birth with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) before beginning their registration. He emphasized that JAMB will rely solely on the data generated from the NIMC, stating, “The Board will not correct or use any data other than the one generated from NIMC.”
The registration period for both Nigerian candidates and those residing abroad will run from Monday, January 26, 2026, to Saturday, February 28, 2026. Furthermore, the sale of e-PINs for the UTME commenced on Monday, January 19, 2026, and will conclude on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
As a reminder, registration will officially close on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Prospective candidates are encouraged to take note of these important dates to ensure a smooth registration experience.
