Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a stern warning to convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, over repeated references to her children in his public statements.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Ojo cautioned the actor against involving her children, Festus and Priscilla, in his narrative, stating that she would pursue legal action if the mentions continue.
The actress dismissed Baba Ijesha’s claims that she once left her children in his care, insisting they were always supervised by nannies or her late mother. She also pointed out that her former business premises in Ilupeju, Lagos, had multiple staff members, making it unlikely she would leave her children unattended.
While acknowledging his right to share his side of events, Ojo stressed that her children must not be used as a means to attract sympathy. She described such actions as unacceptable and urged him to refrain from further references to them.
Ojo also reiterated her stance on the 2021 case involving the actor, emphasising that the matter concerned a minor and that the court’s decision was based on evidence. She called on him to show remorse rather than draw her family into the discussion.
The warning follows recent interviews in which Baba Ijesha recounted past interactions with the actress and expressed disappointment over their strained relationship.
Ojo, however, made it clear that she is prepared to take legal steps to protect her children’s privacy, stating that her legal team would be engaged if the situation persists.
