Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has dismissed widespread social media claims suggesting she was arrested by the Nigerian police, describing the reports as completely fabricated.
During a TikTok live session, the actress addressed the circulating “wanted” posters that sparked confusion among her fans. She said the images were deliberately created to mislead the public and attract attention to certain platforms.
Ojo expressed frustration over the recurring pattern of false information being spread about her, noting that such rumours often cause unnecessary panic among her supporters.
“To all the rumour mongers spreading fake news about me, it shall not be well with you,” she said. “Who did they arrest? Your fake news always worries my fans, and they start calling to check on me.”
She accused those behind the viral posts of exploiting her name to gain traffic and monetise their pages.
“You love to mention my name to pull traffic and make money. You’re heaping curses on your head because I am a special being. Anyone who wishes me bad, it will return to the sender,” she added.
The actress reaffirmed that she is safe and urged fans to disregard the misleading reports circulating online.
