Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken publicly about her decision to remain silent despite ongoing alleged attacks from fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Sunday, Ojo said holding back has been difficult but necessary. She explained that rather than engaging in online spats, she chose to devote her energy to family matters.
The actress revealed that her legal team has been tracking and recording all statements made against her and her family, with plans to address them at the appropriate time.
According to her, the past few months have been focused on welcoming her grandson and supporting her daughter, Priscilla, through early motherhood. She emphasized that family well-being has taken priority over responding to controversies.
“I’ve seen all your messages asking why I’ve stayed silent despite the defamatory remarks, insults, and curses directed at my family, especially my grandson,” Ojo wrote. “Honestly, it has been tough, but silence is sometimes the best answer. Who God has blessed, no one can curse.”
She further reassured fans that her legal representatives are prepared to act once she returns to Lagos. Ojo also thanked her supporters for their concern and patience, urging them to trust the process until the matter is formally addressed.
