Singer Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has stirred reactions online after mocking Wizkid for declaring himself the number one artiste (001) in Nigeria.
Wizkid had recently taken to his Instagram story to assert his dominance in the Nigerian music scene, a move that reignited the long-standing supremacy debate between himself, Burna Boy, and Davido.
The conversation gained further traction after singer Tiwa Savage playfully weighed in, labeling Davido as “001” and Burna Boy as “002.”
Responding to Wizkid’s declaration in the comment section of a viral post, Israel DMW took a jab at the “Essence” crooner, implying that his reign should be backed by new hit songs rather than words.
“Na by mouth? Drop gbedus, shit,” Israel wrote.
The online exchange has since sparked divided opinions among fans of the three Afrobeats heavyweights, with each camp defending their favorite star’s dominance in the industry.
As of press time, neither Wizkid nor Davido has responded to Israel’s comment.
