Isiolo South Member of Parliament Bidu Mohamed Tubi has died.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula said the lawmaker died at Nairobi Hospital on Wednesday evening.
“It is with profound deep sorrow that I inform you and the nation of the demise of Hon Tubi Bidu Mohamed who has left us this evening, Wednesday November 12, 2025 while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital. Until his demise, he served as the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining at the Public Petitions Committee,” said the Speaker in a statement.
He eulogized the first time MP as a remarkable leader with positive impact on the nation.
Mohamed was the inaugural Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly where he served until 2017.
He was elected an MP in 2022 on a Jubilee Party ticket.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us remember Hon Tubi for his remarkable service and the positive impact he had on our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, constituents and all those who had the privilege of knowing him,” Mr Wetangula added.
Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo in his condolence message termed the late lawmaker as a principled and courageous leader.
“He was steadfast in his peaceful convictions and was always guided by a deep desire to be transformational. He once served as Chief Game Warden at Samburu Park, Maasai Mara National Reserve and Isiolo Parks,” said Governor Guyo.
