A fresh wave of threats has emerged from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, this time aimed at global technology companies accused of involvement in security operations against Tehran.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have issued a warning threatening retaliation against major U.S. technology firms amid rising tensions with the United States and its allies.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Guards said leading global tech companies could be targeted if Iranian officials are subjected to what it described as targeted assassinations.
The statement listed several firms, including Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Nvidia and Tesla, alleging their involvement in intelligence and surveillance activities linked to attacks on Iranian figures.
It warned that any further killings of Iranian leaders would trigger what it called reciprocal action against the companies’ operations.
The Guards also urged employees of the listed firms to stay away from their workplaces, claiming their facilities could be at risk.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel, with ongoing accusations involving cyber operations, intelligence gathering, and military strikes.
Iran further alleged that some of the companies support systems used to track and identify Iranian officials, claims which have not been independently verified.
The statement did not specify where any potential retaliation would take place but suggested that facilities linked to the firms across multiple countries could be exposed.
Meanwhile, the wider conflict has already seen reports of cyber and drone-related attacks affecting infrastructure in parts of the Middle East, including commercial and communications facilities.
There has been no immediate response from the companies named or from U.S. authorities regarding the latest threats, as the situation continues to heighten concerns over a possible expansion of the conflict into the global technology sector.
