Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has apologised to neighbouring countries affected by attacks linked to the recent escalation of regional hostilities involving Iran.
In a speech broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian stated, “I apologise to the neighbouring countries that were affected by attacks carried out during the period of conflict.”
The president also reaffirmed Iran’s resolve not to surrender to its adversaries, declaring that the country would never yield to pressure from Israel or the United States.
“Our enemies should take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” he said during the broadcast.
The remarks come amid continuing regional tensions following military exchanges between Iran and its allies and Western and Israeli forces.
While both Israel and the United States have conducted military operations targeting Iranian-linked interests in the region, the conflict has further heightened instability across the Middle East.
Iran has responded to previous strikes with missile and drone operations targeting Israeli and Western-linked assets in parts of the Gulf region, according to reports.
The Iranian president’s apology is being viewed as a diplomatic gesture aimed at easing regional concerns while maintaining Tehran’s hardline stance on national security and sovereignty.
