Fulham will be without Samuel Chukwueze when they host Newcastle United in Saturday’s Premier League fixture, as the Nigerian winger continues his recovery from a calf injury sustained on international duty two weeks ago.
Chukwueze, who also missed the Cottagers’ 1–0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, has yet to regain full fitness and will not feature in this weekend’s encounter.
Speaking to the club’s official website, manager Marco Silva provided an update on the team’s injury situation, confirming that several players remain sidelined.
“Joachim Andersen, as we expected and as I mentioned after the match, has a muscle injury. It’s not so serious, but he is going to be out and not available for the Newcastle match, Antonee Robinson neither, as well. Chukwueze still out, Rodrigo out,” Silva said.
The Super Eagles forward, who joined Fulham earlier in the season, has made two Premier League appearances so far but will need more time to recover before returning to action.
