Nigerian content creator and influencer Papaya Ex has accused officers of the Lagos State Police Command of assault following an incident she said occurred on Friday night.
The influencer made the allegation during a TikTok live session, where she appeared with visible injuries and claimed she was attacked while returning from a shoot.
In the livestream, Papaya displayed what appeared to be a bleeding facial wound. She alleged that officers struck her in the face with a gun and assaulted her driver during the encounter. She also accused the officers of inappropriate physical contact.
A video shared online showed one officer seated inside her vehicle, with others positioned in front of it. The alleged assault itself was not captured in the footage. However, Papaya was seen with a noticeable injury mark on her face.
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command had not issued an official statement regarding the claims.
The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with users calling for clarification and investigation into the allegations.
