Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha has publicly expressed high admiration for Nigerian international forward Victor Osimhen.
Emegha stated his belief that the Galatasaray star is a ‘fantastic’ player and one of the most remarkable strikers currently operating in world football. Emegha himself is set to join Chelsea at the conclusion of the current season; all necessary arrangements have been finalized for the Netherlands international of Nigerian descent to officially complete his transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Osimhen’s reputation for exceptional goal-scoring is well-established across the football world, maintaining consistency from his time at Lille to Napoli, and now at Galatasaray, in addition to his performances for the Nigerian national team.
Emegha, who opted to represent the Netherlands over Nigeria internationally, confirmed that he closely follows Osimhen’s career trajectory. He shared his observations with Africa Top Sports:
“Yes, I think he’s fantastic and I’ve been following him for a long time. First at Napoli, now at Galatasaray. “Watch him play: with his back to the defender, he receives an aerial ball, a pass that’s difficult to control. It’s no problem for him. He jumps two meters and controls the ball with his chest. As if it were nothing.“
So far this season, Emegha has netted seven goals and provided two assists for his current club, Strasbourg.
