Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani has sparked online debate after describing Abuja as Africa’s number one world-class city.
The rapper expressed pride in the nation’s capital in a post shared on his official X account, celebrating its transformation over the years.
“As a Nigerian, I am extremely proud of the city we have all built in Abuja. Watching it grow from 1996 Abacha NTA till 2025 Wike FCT, I can confidently debate that Abuja is Africa’s number one world-class city,” he wrote.
Ice Prince’s comment quickly gained traction on social media, drawing a wave of mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some agreed with his sentiment, praising Abuja’s infrastructure and serenity, others argued that the city still faces challenges in transportation, housing, and affordability.
The artist’s post comes amid ongoing discussions about urban development in Nigeria and the federal government’s efforts to position Abuja as a leading African capital.
Ice Prince, known for hits like Oleku and Aboki, recently shared updates about his personal journey, including his commitment to fitness and his ongoing music projects.
