The late Prime Minister Raila Odinga was synonymous with the Orange Democratic Movement, a political powerhouse that helped shape his legacy and Kenya’s democratic journey. But few know the story behind how the party came to be.
Long before the orange symbol filled rallies and ballot papers, ODM was a brainchild of lawyer Mugambi Imanyara. He saw the potential for a movement, registered it, and later handed it over to Raila at a time when he needed it most.
