Serenity Royale Hospital has refuted claims that it conducted any drug-related test on Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, distancing itself from a widely circulated medical report alleging drug abuse.
The hospital issued a public statement on Thursday after a document purportedly bearing its name spread online, suggesting that the actress tested positive for multiple substances, including marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates, and alcohol.
The viral report surfaced shortly after Regina’s estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, accused her of drug addiction and insisted she undergo rehabilitation. Regina had earlier accused the senator of domestic abuse as their highly public breakup continues to unfold.
In its official statement, signed by the hospital’s management, Serenity Royale Hospital dismissed the report as fabricated and warned the public to disregard it. “Our attention has been drawn to a post (on an alleged MID TERM HOME DETOX REPORT) being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Mrs. Nwoko Regina,” it said.
“We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard same.”
The hospital did not disclose whether further action would be taken regarding the fraudulent document.
