Earlier on Wednesday evening, Manchester City secured their progression with a 2-0 victory against Brentford at the Etihad Stadium, while Chelsea booked their spot on Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Cardiff City in the Welsh capital.
The official draw dictates that Newcastle, the current trophy holders, will compete against Manchester City for a place in the final. The English Football League has scheduled the first legs of these semi-final ties for the week commencing January 12, 2026.
