Celebrity chef and three-time record holder Hilda Baci has celebrated her partner, Damilola Akinwunmi, following a historic achievement by his music company.
Baci shared a heartfelt message on Instagram congratulating Akinwunmi and the team at Dapper Group after they secured a Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats concert.
The milestone was achieved during the Trench Symphony concert held in Lagos on December 16, 2025. The event featured 85 musicians performing together in a large orchestral arrangement built around an Afrobeats composition.
The performance took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre and included a musical director, a lead vocalist, a choir, dancers and dozens of instrumentalists performing in synchrony.
By assembling 85 musicians, the concert set a new record for the largest orchestra performing Afrobeats live.
In her message accompanying video clips from the performance, Baci praised the dedication behind the achievement. She reflected on the effort, risks and persistence that went into turning the vision into reality.
According to the chef, watching the project evolve into a globally recognised milestone was a proud moment for her.
She described the achievement as a testament to the resilience and passion of the team, noting that the initiative created a platform that supports talent and promotes the culture of Afrobeats.
Baci also hinted at their shared future, joking that their children would one day hear the story of both parents holding Guinness World Records.
The chef and Akinwunmi have been romantically linked for several years and occasionally share moments from their personal and professional lives on social media. Their posts often celebrate both their relationship and their respective accomplishments.
