Kehlani won Best R&B Performance for her track “Folded” at the 2026 Grammy Awards, beating out nominations from Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller (“It Depends”), Justin Bieber (“Yukon”), Leon Thomas (“Mutt [Live from NPR’s Tiny Desk]”), and Summer Walker (“Heart of a Woman”).
The win marked a major milestone for Kehlani, who earned her first-ever Grammy victory. She later returned to the stage to claim Best R&B Song, also for “Folded.”
“I’ve never won anything before—this is a really crazy feeling,” Kehlani said during her acceptance speech. Reflecting on her decade-long journey, she added, “My first Grammy nomination was 10 years ago. It’s been a really long time, and I don’t take anyone who’s been part of this journey for granted.” She ended their speech with a pointed statement: “F*&k ICE.”
At the 2025 Grammys, Muni Long won Best R&B Performance for “Made for Me (Live on BET),” while SZA took home Best R&B Song for “Saturn.”
