Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Eric Bellinger is set to captivate fans in Nigeria this October.
Bellinger will headline the 2025 Megastar Man of the Decade Awards on October 17 at the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Abuja. The event celebrates outstanding Nigerians for their achievements and impact across various sectors of society.
As part of the awards, Bellinger is expected to perform his latest single, “Understood (Remix),” featuring Nigerian music powerhouse Tiwa Savage. The track combines soulful R&B melodies with the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats, reflecting themes of love, communication, and emotional vulnerability that define Bellinger’s music.
Speaking about the collaboration, Bellinger shared his admiration for Tiwa Savage. “I’ve been a fan of Tiwa for years. I first met her through my longtime friend and producer, Harmony Samuels, who worked with her before I even started releasing solo music. I always hoped we’d collaborate, and now, over a decade later, it finally happened,” he said.
Bellinger added, “I’m really looking forward to performing in Nigeria, especially at the Megastar Man of the Decade Awards, and sharing my music with the audience.”
“Understood (Remix)” is the lead single from Bellinger’s album It All Makes Sense, released on September 26, 2025. The project, recorded in Cape Town, South Africa, features a collection of African artists, producers, and songwriters, building on the sound of his 2024 album, It’ll All Make Sense Later, which included the original version of the track.
Following the awards ceremony, Bellinger will embark on a media tour across Nigeria and Ghana to promote his collaboration with Tiwa Savage and his new album.
The Megastar Man of the Decade Awards promises an evening of glamour, recognition, and world-class performances, with Eric Bellinger’s live set poised to be one of the night’s highlights.
