The government says it is on track to meet key deadlines set by the Confederation of African Football ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Sports Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi on Sunday said Kenya has enough time to meet all requirements, including payment of the Sh3.9 billion hosting fee.
He added that plans are underway to have the National Treasury allocate the funds, clarifying that the delay is due to budgetary provisions, not a lack of money.
