Renowned gospel music minister, Evangelist Esther Igbekele, is rounding off 2025 on a high note after a year filled with international recognition, sold-out concerts, and global performances that reaffirm her status as one of Africa’s leading gospel voices.
Popularly hailed as the Duchess of Gospel Music, Igbekele took her soul-lifting ministry beyond Nigerian borders this year, performing to thousands across the United States and Europe.
In September 2025, the award-winning singer embarked on a U.S. tour, where she graced stages in Baltimore (Maryland), New Jersey, and New York. Although the tour was initially slated to begin earlier in the year, several performances were rescheduled for 2026, as part of plans to expand the movement with mega concerts and major church anniversary events.
Following her American engagements, the gospel powerhouse made her way to Italy, where she joined the Celestial Church of Christ, Ileri Oluwa Parish, Brescia, to celebrate its 30th Adult Harvest in October 2025. Her electrifying performance at the event was met with widespread praise from congregants and fans alike.
That same month, Igbekele also headlined the London Praise 2025 Concert at the Gaumont Palace, United Kingdom, where she delivered a spirit-filled performance that drew worshippers from across Europe.
With several upcoming appearances planned in both the U.K. and Nigeria before the year ends, the gospel icon shows no sign of slowing down.
