Renowned gospel singer Busola Oke has triggered concern among fans after an emotional live session on TikTok in which she spoke candidly about the pressures facing her career.
During the broadcast, the “Eleyele” crooner became visibly upset as she addressed what she described as ongoing challenges within the music industry. She apologised to supporters, saying she had reached a breaking point.
“I’m sorry to my fans. I never planned to do this, but I can’t take this anymore. I’m done. Good music doesn’t sell anymore,” she said during the now-viral session.
Oke questioned the sustainability of a music career without financial stability, using pointed remarks to describe her frustration.
“How can you eat when there’s no food? How can you drive when there’s no car? How can you be at peace when there’s no peace?” she asked.
The singer, known for spiritually themed songs such as Ogo Tuntun, Asoro Ma Tase, and Adaba, also suggested she feels unsupported by some former associates, though she did not provide details.
Her comments quickly circulated across social media platforms, drawing reactions from fans and fellow gospel music lovers. Many offered prayers and encouragement, describing her as a respected voice in Nigeria’s gospel scene.
As of the time of this report, Oke has not issued any additional statement following the live broadcast.
