Several Nigerian gospel musicians, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Lanre Alewilese, have launched a public appeal for financial support to assist their colleague Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.
Their call for help comes weeks after the singer visited G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking divine healing. She is reportedly battling a serious leg condition that has drained her finances and left her struggling to access adequate medical care.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram, Lanre Alewilese urged Nigerians to come to her aid. “She really needs your support NOW!” he said, sharing her account details and calling for unity across all music genres. “Please, for God’s sake… let’s set religion aside and save the life of Sister Bunmi Akinanu Omije Ojumi.”
Alewilese noted that he had already reached out privately to several artistes but felt compelled to go public after learning that her condition had worsened. “I was shocked because I thought God had taken control of her healing. I didn’t know she was being moved from one hospital to another,” he added.
Other entertainers, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Akinade Olubukola, and actress Foluke Daramola, have also posted appeals, urging fans and colleagues to offer support and prayers.
While the exact nature of her illness remains unclear, the video has stirred widespread concern and renewed attention to her health battle.
