Marking its most successful edition to date, the Global Health Exhibition 2025 concluded in Riyadh with record-breaking participation and investments totaling $35.5 billion, positioning the event as one of the world’s leading platforms for healthcare innovation and collaboration.
Themed “Invest in Health,” the four-day exhibition, held from October 27–30 under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and organised by Tahaluf, aligned closely with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program. The event featured 607 speakers, showcased 2,200 global brands, and attracted over 130,000 attendees, including policymakers, investors, and innovators from around the world.
During the closing ceremony, Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, H.E. Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hamad AlRamaih, hailed the exhibition as “the fastest-growing health event in the world” for the second year in a row. He highlighted the surge in private sector partnerships, noting a sixfold growth in B2B activity compared to 2024, and praised the calibre of international engagement that underscored Saudi Arabia’s rising influence in global healthcare.
Among the major announcements were an $8.4 billion investment to advance hospital and healthcare infrastructure across the Kingdom, $3.24 billion committed to venture capital and strategic funds, and over $625 million in the life sciences sector. New digital health partnerships were also unveiled, including collaborations between HUMAIN, Lean, and Google Cloud, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building a world-class, tech-enabled health ecosystem.
The final day spotlighted the future of healthcare systems, featuring global leaders such as Matthew Shaw, CEO of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Dr. Majd Abu Zant, CEO of Global Fertility, who discussed the shift toward value-based and patient-centered care. Panels explored how innovation, equity, and sustainability must shape the next decade of global health reform.
The event also championed youth and entrepreneurship through the NextGen Pitch Competition, where Exoheal, creators of a robotic glove for hand-paralysis rehabilitation — emerged as the winner among 20 startups from over 10 countries. Additionally, the LiveWell Youth Competition, powered by the Ministry of Health, celebrated the next generation of wellness innovators, with student team Vitrac taking top honors.
Reflecting on the exhibition’s success, Rachel Sturgess, Senior Vice President at Tahaluf, said, “This year’s Global Health Exhibition saw unprecedented international engagement and groundbreaking partnerships that reaffirm Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for healthcare excellence, collaboration, and transformation.”
Supported by key partners including Health Holding, NUPCO, Dallah Health, HAYAT National Hospitals, STC, and WuXi AppTec, the exhibition concluded with a strong call to action for continued collaboration ahead of Global Health Exhibition 2026, where the future of global healthcare will once again take center stage in Riyadh.
