The Global Health Exhibition (GHE) 2025 officially opened today in Riyadh, marking its 8th edition. H.E. Fahad bin Abdulrahman Aljalajel, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, announced that the event is set to host agreements exceeding $33 billion USD, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global healthcare hub.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and supported by Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program, GHE is organised by Tahaluf and serves as Saudi Arabia’s flagship platform for healthcare transformation.
In his keynote, Minister Aljalajel highlighted the Kingdom’s progress in healthcare under Vision 2030, noting improvements in life expectancy from 74 in 2016 to a projected 79.7 years, early screening for millions of newborns and couples, a 38% reduction in chronic disease deaths, a 50% drop in traffic fatalities, and early detection for 70% of cancer cases.

Hospital and Infrastructure: $8.4 billion USD in investments were unveiled, including expansions by Hayat National Hospitals ($1.86B), Akdital Group ($1.41B), Mouwasat ($1.33B), Alrajhi Medicine ($1B), Burjeel Holdings (~$1B), and IMC & SMC Healthcare ($800M each).

Life Sciences: Over $625 million USD in investments, including partnerships with BD, Sanofi, MSD, Pfizer, and Jamjoom Pharma to localise medical technologies and vaccine production.

Venture Capital and Strategic Funds: $3.24 billion USD committed to innovation and localisation, including investments from Hillhouse ($1.49B), Al Fozan Holding ($675M), TMV Capital & Baraya ($405M), and financial instruments from Esnad Financial, SEHA Capital, GKSD Investment, and Goldtrack Ventures.
The exhibition features top healthcare companies including GE, Siemens Healthineers, Fujifilm, Johnson & Johnson, GSK, Samsung, Danaher, Karl Storz, and Stryker, alongside leading Saudi organisations like HAYAT National Hospitals, Health Holding, NUPCO, and Dallah Health. Strategic partnerships in digital health, AI wellness tools, R&D, and start-up innovation were also announced.
