Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has opened up on his decision to join the Blues from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The Argentina international made the move to Stamford Bridge following a reported fallout with Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim.
Speaking to newsmen, Garnacho said the opportunity to develop under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was a major factor in his decision.
“When I spoke with the club and Maresca, it’s also important the style of play we have,” Garnacho explained.
“He showed me a lot during a video call. It’s a big chance to improve as a player in a team like Chelsea.”
The 20-year-old has already made an impression at his new club, scoring Chelsea’s only goal in their 2–1 defeat to Sunderland in the Premier League over the weekend.
