Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly targeting Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika ahead of the January transfer window, according to football commentator Zeki Uzundurukan.
Speaking on the Transfer TV YouTube channel, Uzundurukan described Onyedika as a dynamic and hardworking midfielder, drawing comparisons to his Nigerian national teammate, Victor Osimhen.
“Galatasaray’s target is Raphael Onyedika. Galatasaray will make an attempt in January,” Uzundurukan said via Habersarikirmizi.
“He’s a player who can play both at number 6 and number 8. He’s a fighter like Osimhen. He also plays for the Nigerian national team.
“He’s a player Osimhen knows well. He’s been frequently receiving information about Galatasaray from Osimhen. He’s a high-high-priced player, and a loan offer with an option to buy could be on the cards.”
If the transfer goes through, Onyedika would join a Galatasaray squad looking to strengthen its midfield options, with the 22-year-old Nigerian international seen as a key addition to the team’s plans for the remainder of the season.
