Former Argentina striker Gabriel Batistuta has expressed confidence that the Albiceleste will reach the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Batistuta believes Lionel Scaloni’s squad is stronger and more composed than the team that triumphed in Qatar three years ago. He made the comments ahead of the 2026 World Cup draw scheduled for Friday.
“Right now, they [Argentina] are at their best,” Batistuta told TyC Sports.
“The guys know how they want to play, and they are relaxed because they know what it is like to win.
“I am convinced they will reach the final again,” he added.
Argentina are the reigning World Cup champions, having secured the 2022 title with a dramatic victory over France in the final.
