Popular actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has shared her views on the growing popularity of the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), saying she finds the procedure visually appealing but would not consider undergoing it herself.
Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, Akindele said she appreciates enhanced body aesthetics when done moderately, noting that she prefers more natural-looking results.
“I love to see beautiful women with beautiful bodies,” she said. “I actually like it. I am not talking about the excess ones but the normal ones. I want to do it but I don’t have the mind.”
Despite her admiration, the actress emphasised the importance of caution for anyone considering cosmetic surgery. She advised individuals to carefully weigh the risks before making such decisions.
“I am not against it. If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead, but be careful,” she added.
Her comments come at a time of increased public attention on the safety of BBL procedures, following the death of social media influencer Elena Nkwopara, who reportedly died from complications related to the surgery in Lagos.
The incident has reignited conversations around the risks associated with cosmetic enhancements, particularly as demand for such procedures continues to rise.
