Award-winning Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has openly celebrated the talent of veteran actress Bimbo Akintola, admitting that her performances often leave a lasting impression on her.
Speaking during her ‘Creative Blueprint’ event, Akindele described working alongside Akintola as both challenging and inspiring, noting the depth and intensity the seasoned actress brings to her roles.
She explained that Akintola’s acting ability has, at times, made her reflect critically on her own career, pushing her to strive for greater excellence.
According to Akindele, she regularly studies Akintola’s performances, paying close attention to her delivery, expressions, and emotional transitions as part of her own growth process.
“There’s one actor who always makes me nervous. Whenever she performs, I find myself rethinking my career path,” she said, referring to Akintola. “I watch how she interprets roles and remind myself to keep learning.”
