Award-winning actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has publicly reprimanded her godson and skit maker Kamo after he reportedly made a joke she described as “very stupid.”
A viral video circulating on social media captured the heated exchange between the A Tribe Called Judah director and her mentee, where she expressed anger and disappointment over his behavior.
“Don’t interfere with my job, I’m not joking with you. Please go away,” Akindele said in the clip. “He is a very rude boy. He cracked one very stupid joke today, and I don’t want to talk to him again. So, if you don’t see him on my Instablog videos, just know that I have sent him away. Very annoying brat.”
Despite Kamo’s repeated apologies, heard off-camera as he said, “Sorry ma, I’m sorry mummy”, the actress refused to forgive him immediately.
“Who’s your mummy? We are not from the same state. Stupid boy,” Akindele retorted sharply.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans backing Akindele for enforcing boundaries as a mentor, while others believe the confrontation could have been handled privately.
Neither Funke Akindele nor Kamo has released an official statement addressing the viral exchange as of the time of this report.
